Who Are We?

LONDON FOCUSING
is a community of people who are learning, practicing, and teaching Focusing. We are both Focusing teachers and students, offering a space for anyone to learn this simple, natural and profound experiential process. Focusing enhances and deepens many of our human endeavours, our relationships and our understanding of living.

We offer:

  • Focusing introductions and full courses for professionals (anyone working with others) and for the general public.
  • Courses to train (experienced or newly-qualified) psychotherapists, counsellors, coaches, bodyworkers and psychologists how to deepen their work and therapeutic relationships so that clients are more likely to get the change they are looking for.
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for any professionals interested in self-development and self-care, personal growth, and increasing the meaning of their working life.

If you are interested in our next trainings or the 2-year Focusing Oriented Therapy course for Counsellors, Coaches, Psychologists, Body Practitioners and other professionals,  please contact us.

London Focusing Taster / Q+A

Focusing is about developing a sensitive, moment-to-moment awareness of the body’s implicit, holistic knowing of a situation. It can bring fresh insight, emotional ease, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself.

Focusing also offers a practical way for people in the helping professions, e.g. therapists, coaches, bodyworkers, to deepen both their presence and the effectiveness of their work.

In this 1.5 hour Taster and Q+A, we will offer a brief experiential introduction to this powerful inner listening process, and answer questions about the London Focusing training and approach.

    • DISCOVER how to tune into your body’s subtle, intuitive knowing
    • MEET some of the London Focusing team and get a feeling for our approach
    • SEE if the 2-day Introduction to Focusing workshop is for you
    • ASK questions about our full 2-year training to become a Focusing Oriented Therapist / Focusing Professional

The session is open to newcomers and those who already know Focusing (a little or a lot).

A link to the Zoom room will be sent out after registration.

Date: 10 September, 18:00 – 19:30
Location: Zoom
Duration: 1.5 hours

Cost: Free

NEW 2025-2026 FOCUSING INTRODUCTIONS

We offer excellent opportunities to learn Focusing from Certified Focusing Professionals/Certified Focusing Therapists from our London Focusing team.

Feel free to contact us for individual sessions or any groups/communities who would like to learn this gentle natural process. We include the basics of Focusing as an embodied approach and helpful ways to facilitate another in a Focusing process. We believe these embodied experiential sensitivities are increasingly important in a world of Artificial Intelligence and rapid technological change. Our next dates are below:

INTRODUCTION TO FOCUSING FOR COACHES

The body knows things the mind would never guess. Focusing is a practice for listening to that knowing.

This two-day introduction to Focusing is designed for coaches, and is open to anyone else whose work involves helping people find clarity from within. It’s for those wanting to explore Focusing as a personal practice, and discover ways to bring it into their work with others.
